Meet the team

Brooke joined Carter Smith in 2009. He qualified as a member of ACCA in 2015 before becoming owner and director in 2018. Prior to this he worked as an analyst with Next. Brooke has a strong background in I.T. from his university studies, which is a key skill in the modern practice. In his spare time he also likes to watch Huddersfield Town and take part in athletics.

Ian founded Carter Smith Ltd in 2003 and was director for 15 years until he sold the practice in 2018. He remains with the practice as a consultant. Prior to this he ran a Halifax agency in Shiregreen for several years. Ian qualified as a member of ATT in 1996. When he is not at work he likes to watch Sheffield Wednesday. He also managed Steel City Wanderers women's football team for 12 years until 2018.

David has worked for Carter Smith for 2 years as an Accountant. He qualified as a member of ICAEW in 1989. In his spare time he likes to play tennis.

Ryan joined the team in 2018 after previously working as an assistant management accountant. He completed his AAT qualification in 2016 and is currently training towards his ACCA qualification.
